Bruce and Willow Winder - Mascots
Bruce is one of Rising Star Youth Training Center's mascot. Bruce loves belly rubs and kids! Bruce has been in the gym for four years but has very big dreams of walking on the beams and jumping on the tumble track! Bruce and Willow have a very big role to play in our gym, they are not only the greeters but they are also in charge of making each child feel loved and cared for. Bruce and willow are learning to be a good pals and patient listeners. Willow is Bruce's biological niece! She also loves being at the gym! She loves to run around and play with the kids! Willow has been in the gym for not even a year but she has already learned so much. She loves attention so make sure to give her lots! |
Cammy and Shane Winder - Owners Cammy and Shane own and operate Rising Star Youth Training Center. They built the business in June of 2013. Cammy has lived in Craig since 1998 and Shane has been a resident his whole life. Cammy's business background comes from a successful career in direct sales. Shane is a mechanic for Tallgrass Energy Partners and is an avid hunter. Shane hunts as often as work and Cammy will allow. They have 3 young children of their own and understand the importance of physical activity and the social and emotional aspects of group activities. Cammy currently coaches Xcel Teams at Rising Star and runs in and out of as many classes as possible to lend a helping hand. They are both great with children and are excited to see everyone grow and succeed! |
Coach Lexi Caudell - Team Gymnastics Coach
Lexi Caudell has been coaching gymnastics ranging from Recreational programs to Xcel Teams for 9 years, 4 of which were competitive. Lexi has been a part of the Rising Star team since 2017 and is currently coaching Rising Star Gymnastics Xcel Teams. As a gymnast she competed in the USA Junior Olympic Program through Level 8. Her degree is in Chemistry with an emphasis in Secondary Education. She also teaches Special Education at Craig Middle School. |
Coach Lisa Dixon - NinjaZone & Gymnastics Team
Lisa Dixon started working for Rising Star YTC coaching our boys classes in 2019, but is now our coach for NinjaZone and Xcel Team classes. She has a background in competitive gymnastics for 8 years, and as a mother of 7 children is well experienced with kids! She moved to Craig in 1994 and currently helps with her family's business. |
Jessica Womble - Front Desk
Jessica has been with our gym since 2014. She started competing with our JO Team and moved to the Xcel Gold team. In 2018 she lost her left leg in a car accident. When she got out of the hospital she came right back to the gym and competed with the Gold team for 2 more seasons. She has coached in the past and is now working our front desk. For the past 9 months she's been studying Choral Education at BYUI with the hope to eventually teach high school choir. She also works at Sandrock Elementary as a Para. |
Coach Alana Winder - Recreational and Team Gymnastics Coach Alana is currently coaching Rising Star Recreational Classes and the Xcel Bronze team. She has been coaching with us for five years. Alana has been a gymnast since 2013 and has been competing on team since she was 6 years old! Alana is currently competing on our Diamond team. She loves coaching the little ones so much! Alana is constantly talking about the gym and loves talking to the kids and teaching them everything. Alana wants to eventually own the gym with her parents. |
Coach Amy Coupe - Recreational Gymnastics Coach
Amy is an assistant coach for a few of our Rec. classes and she also coaches our Tots class. She has two daughters who are both in the Ninja program and the Rec. program here. Amy also works at a couple of the elementary schools in town as a speech therapist assistant. |
Coach Emily Magruder - Team Gymnastics Coach
Emily coaches our Silver competitive team. She used to compete on our Silver and Gold team in 2017-2019 until she graduated high school. She got married June of 2023 and lives in Craig with her husband, 2 cats, and a dog. She works during the day as a mortgage loan officer. |
Coach Courtney Haskins - Team and Recreational Coach
Courtney coaches Bronze and Silver teams as well as Rec 2 through 4. She started as a gymnast at 13 years old at Rising Star in 2015 and competed up to Platinum. In her junior year she moved to Nebraska and competed as a level 6 for two years. She went to college at Colorado Mesa getting a bachelors in Liberal Arts. During college she coached all recreational levels and Bronze through Platinum teams at Colorado West.
